Scott leads McKinsey’s Transformational Change Practice in the Americas. His work focuses primarily on helping CEOs and top teams conceive and manage large-scale, people-oriented transformation programs in a variety of industries.
Scott’s client work has been recognized externally, having been awarded the ASHRM Strategic leadership Award, AMCO’s Business Transformation Award, and Leadership Excellence Magazine’s ‘Top 25’ award for developing leaders.
Beyond client work, Scott has authored a number of publications in the field of organization behavior. His latest book is the best selling Beyond Performance: How Great Companies Achieve Ultimate Competitive Advantage (Wiley, 2011). Scott has also authored two other books through McKinsey, the performance culture imperative: a hard-nosed approach to the soft stuff and Performance and Health: An evidence-based approach to transforming your organization.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Scott worked for Procter & Gamble USA as a manufacturing manager and the U.S. Department of Energy as a photovoltaic engineer. Outside of McKinsey, Scott is the co-founder and board member of Digital Divide Data (DDD), a social enterprise that utilizes a sustainable IT service model to benefit some of the world’s most disadvantaged.
