Jackie is a leader of change with more than 30 years of experience working across the NHS and Social Care in strategic, operational, change management and commissioner roles. The Horizons Group is “leading healthcare from the future” with the next generation of leaders responsible for delivering transformational change. Jackie believes in sharing the disruptive power of connection, leading edge knowledge, transformation and innovation, to help people think differently about the “rules of change” and making sense of it in their own context.
Jackie is currently leading and implementing large scale change initiatives to engage and mobilize from the grassroots to transform patient care, using social movement thinking and community organising approaches. This has included leading the development of the largest simultaneous improvement initiative across the NHS—“NHS Change Day” which is a grassroots initiative enabling people to use the resources they have into the power they need to make change. It has been game change and has spread to over 5 other countries. The NHS Change Day story was a winner of the HBR/McKinsey M-Prize “Leaders Everywhere Challenge.”
Starting her career as a mental health nurse Jackie has a passion for working with and partnering with patients, which strongly defines her values for action.
